Get your wooden gate treated with Tanatone
TANATONE pressure treated timber has been high pressure impregnated with TANALITH E preservative containing a built-in brown colouration. TANATONE pressure treated timber is usually specified for fencing and landscaping applications, eliminating the need for brush applied colour at the point of installation. This has a natural brown colouration.
Tongue & Groove Wooden gate Treatement

Unfortunately Tongue & Groove gates cannot be Tanatone or Tanalised E Pressure Treated. This is due to warpage of the tongue's and the groove's of the timber swelling in the pressurised tank.

The best possible way of keeping untreated timber maintained is to apply a spirit stain of at least 3 coats every two to three years to stop any flaking of the stain you have already applied. UV protect sprit stain is the most suitable for untreated timber and by no means is any water based treatment suitable for untreated timber what-so-ever. We recommend using Sadling Classic Wood Stain Protection or Ronseal. Sprit stain can be purchased from your local DIY store.
